Easy Ways to Access Electronic Resources Outside of Campus : Use Your Google Account!

Most of the Library’s electronic resources (e.g. e-Books, journal papers and scholarly databases) are accessible within UNIST campus IP ranges. However, UNIST members can access these resources remotely via ‘Off-Campus Access (proxy server)’ via the Library website.

Not only proxy servers but also publishers/platforms provide the following additional methods.

 

  • Use Google Scholar with your activated Google account: Google CASA(Campus Activated Subscriber Access)
    • Log in to Google Scholar with your personal Google account and search within UNIST IP ranges. When you perform a search on Google Scholar outside of campus, Google will provide off-campus access links on your Google Scholar’s search results.
    • Function available publishers/websites: American Chemical Society, American Institute of Physics, American Physical Society, IEEE Xplore, Nature, Science, ScienceDirect, Springer Link, Wiley Online Library, etc.
  • Use an institution-affiliated account (Device pairing)
    • Create an account on the journal or databases website and log in to your account within UNIST IP ranges. This institution-affiliated account allows you to access UNIST-licensed contents outside of campus.
    • Function available publishers/websites: ACM Digital Library, American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, DBpia, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, Wiley Online Library, etc.
