Notice Concerning the UNIST Library’s Personal Information Processing Consent Policy

The UNIST Library wishes to obtain UNIST members’ permission to collect and process personal information under the provision of the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Please visit the library homepage and submit your consent form.

 

  • Schedule: From Dec. 6th, 2021 –
  • Procedure: Access the library homepage → Log in to your portal account → Read the document and check the box labeled “Give consent.”
    ※ UNIST members who do not provide consent for personal information will not be able to use the library’s personalized service.

  • Collection and Use of Personal Information
Items to be Collected Purposes of Collection and Use Period of Holding and Use
Full Name, Faculty/Staff/Student ID,
Date of Birth, User Group, Department, Email Address, Cellphone Number, Status
  • To manage the loan and return of library materials
  • To provide library homepage services, send notifications, and manage customer services
 Five (5) years after resignation or graduation

※ The Period of Holding and Use is determined in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s guideline. The library will use the information for a maximum 5 years after the resignation or graduation of UNIST members to produce statistics reports or process overdue fines, etc. All information is destroyed after the expiration period.
