How to Apply for Membership

  1. Pay for Deposit·Card Issue Fee (Depositor’s name must be the same as applicant’s name)
    1. Payment Account
      • Deposit: 경남은행 232-0001-0835-01 (Account Holder: 울산과학기술원)
      • Card Issue Fee: 경남은행 547-07-0066988 (Account Holder: ㈜에스앤아이코퍼)
  2. Submit the Required Documents
    1. Required documents: Refer to description above
    2. Submit: Visit 3F Info desk or send an email to oseung@unist.ac.kr
  3. Pick Up the Library Card
    1. Librarian will notify you by phone or e-mail after your library card is ready. (It will be issued in 2 or 3 days)
    2. Pick up location: UNIST library 3F Info desk
    3. Business hours: Mon~Fri, 9:00~18:00 (Lunch Time: 12:00~13:00)

Renewal of the library card

  1. General public member can renew the library card for one more year before the expiration date
  2. How to renew: Visit to 3F Info desk or Call the library (052-217-1408)
  3. Extend period: 1 year

To Request Refund the Deposit

  1. Return all library materials
  2. Submit necessary documents
    • Location: Library 3F Info desk or e-mail
      ※ Opening hours: 9:00 A.M. ~ 6:00 P.M, weekdays
    • Documents: Deposit Return Request Form, A copy of bank account information
  3. Return deposit
    • Deposit will be returned to your account (in two weeks)
      ※ Deposit can be deducted according to general public membership policy.
      ※ Only the principal will be returned. (except interest)

Notice

  • If an overdue book is not returned, you will not be able to borrow a new book based on the overdue date.
  • Please bring your library card when using UNIST library.
  • You may not lend your library card to others or use another person’s card to enter the library.
  • If you lose or damage library materials, your deposit will be deducted according to general public membership policy.

Lost
  • Deduct the current price of the book
  • If the book went out of print
    • Deduct current price of the newest version of the book
    • Deduct (1.5 X the purchase price of the book)

※ If deduction is higher than your deposit, you pay the difference plus the deposit.

Same as ‘lose library book’

 

  • Any behavior that disrupts studying or intentionally damaging library materials is prohibited. If violation occurs, your membership will be canceled.
