Journal Citation Reports is a combination of impact and influence metrics along with data from Web of Science, citation index database by Clarivate. Used widely for evaluating peer-reviewed publications, the JCR provides annual journal metrics and indicators.
Journal Impact Factor, the primary indicator of the JCR, is defined as all citations to the journal in the current JCR year to items published in the previous two years, divided by the total number of scholarly items (these comprise articles, reviews, and proceedings papers) published in the journal in the previous two years.
