Browsing Books by Subject

To organize and arrange books by their subjects, the UNIST Library uses the Library of Congress Classification (LCC).

Various subejcts of books are notated as different classification numbers of the LCC.

When you search for books in specific subejcts, referring to the LC classification numbers can be quite helpful.

Here are some useful classification numbers for NSE.

Subject Headings 

The Library of Congress also provides the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH), a kind of subject indexing language.

You can refer to the subject headings to browse books in a specific subject.

NOT OWNED by the UNIST Library, please recommend them for purchase to the library.

Korean books usually arrive in a week, whereas English books arrive in 2~4 weeks.

If you need them URGENTLY or only for short period, please request Inter-Library Borrowing service, borrowing books from other university libraries.

Books usually arrive in 2~3 days from other universities and you can use them for 2~3 weeks.

Google Books Search

It is worthwhile carrying out a search on Google Books to see if a book is available to view online.

e-Book

The Library has access to thousands of e-books, from a number of different publishers and providers. These are books you can read online via your pc, laptop or mobile device. Some are available only through specialized websites as follows, but almost all are linked from library catalog.
