What is DB?

데이터베이스(Database, Web DB)는 다양한 유형의 학술자료(학술지 논문, 학술대회 발표자료, 연구보고서, 뉴스, 매거진, 학위논문 등) 및 특정분야의 전문정보(특허, 표준, 판례 외) 등을 웹상에 구축하여 이용자가 검색 및 이용이 가능하도록 연결하는 학술콘텐츠를 총칭합니다.

UNIST 도서관은 약 58여종 이상(전자저널 패키지 포함)의 주제별 주요 데이터베이스를 구독 및 서비스 하고 있으며, 도서관 웹사이트의 데이터베이스 페이지를 통해 타이틀 및 주제별 데이터베이스를 검색하여 이용하실 수 있습니다

Databases(Web DBs) are collections of scholarly materials which are very useful tools for researchers to search and find relevant resources for their literature study. It contains bibliographical information or full text of journal articles, conference proceedings, magazines, reports, etc. in specific subjects.

The UNIST Library subscribe to about 58 databases to support all UNIST members in their studies, research and teaching. Through library’s Database menu, users can browse and access variety databases by title and subject. (It includes primary free databases also.)

☆ 기계공학분야 대표 Web-DB: ASME: American Society of Mechanical Engineers ☆

미국기계공학회 발행 전자저널 30여종 원문 이용 가능 데이터베이스

ASME Digital Collection is an online platform which inclues journals, conference proceedings and electronic books published by American Society of Mechanical Engineers. UNIST members can access only 30 ASME journals.

데이터베이스 알아보기

• 인용색인 데이터베이스 (Citation Index) 논문의 인용정보를 바탕으로 각 주제분야 별 핵심 저널 논문 검색 가능

-> UNIST 구독 품목: Web of Science SCIE(SCI 논문 검색 가능), Scopus

 

• 전자저널 원문 데이터베이스 (전자저널 패키지) 각 출판사 및 학회에서 출판하는 전자저널을 적게는 3~4종, 많게는 수천종씩 패키지로 구성하여 제공

-> UNIST 구독 품목: 주요 출판사 패키지 (Elsevier ScienceDirect, Wiley, Springer, Nature, T&F, SAGE 외), 주요 학회 및 협회 패키지 (IEEE, AAAS, ACS, RSC, AIP, APS, AMS 외)

 

• 서지 데이터베이스 (색인, 초록 + 원문) 기본적으로 색인, 초록 등의 서지정보를 제공하며 일부 저널 및 자료의 원문까지 제공

-> UNIST 구독 품목: EBSCOhost Academic Search Complete & Business Source Complete, ProQuest Central 외 (BSC, PQC: 경영경제분야 주요 저널 원문 이용 가능)

 

• 전문정보 데이터베이스 특정 주제분야에 대한 전문적인 자료 및 데이터 제공

-> UNIST 구독 품목: 화학(SciFinder, Reaxys), 표준(ASTM, KS), 특허(WIPS ON), 저널 평가(JCR – Journal Impact Factor 제공) 등

1) Citation Index: Scopus, Web of Science

2) Abstract & Index (+ Full Text): EBSCOhost ASC/BSC, ProQuest Central, MathSciNet, etc.

3) Journal Package (Full Text): ScienceDirect, Wiley, Springer, Nature eJournals, Scinece(AAAS),  IEEE, ACS, RSC, AIP, T&F, etc.

4) Specific Information: Chemical Substance & Reactions(SciFinder, Reaxys), Standards(ASTM, KS), Patents(WIPS ON), JCR(Journal Impact Factor), etc.
